We are in this together!

Some of us want the latest accurate information. Some of us need help. Others want to know how to help. We all want to keep being the church. Here's an overview of resources as we navigate the COVID-19 Pandemic. Bookmark this page and check in regularly as we continually update it.

Staying Up To Date

Thrive Updates
We are in full support of following the direction of our local and national leaders in response to the current situation. Read our latest status update and full statement on the matter here.

Government Updates
For accurate and timely updates, visit CDC.gov, PublicHealth.LACounty.gov, and LAMayor.org/Coronavirus. And don’t forget to sign up for NotifyLA, our city’s mass notification system. For other local updates on COVID-19 from the City (in English and Spanish) click here

Embracing Virtual Church

While physical social distance is incredibly important, that doesn't mean we aren't still family. It is important that we support one another with friendship, prayer, and by meeting needs of people who are more negatively impacted by the situation.

Sunday Gatherings
We're streaming our service so we can all engage together in real time. Click here to join our Live Stream Sundays at 10am. Past sermons are available here.

Virtual Hangouts
Groups are meeting online and extra social opportunities are being organized. Learn about our virtual Small groups and additional online hangouts here.

Helping Out

Thrive's Collective Response
We are currently trying to assess needs and resources within thrive. Please fill out this survey to help us organize efforts within the thrive family.

Responsibly Reaching Out
The most important thing you can do is listen to social distance warnings with seriousness and hope. If you are sick, stay home. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, call a doctor.

At the same time, it's imperative that we look out for one another. Please reach out to your thrive groups and teams, family, and neighbors with the following questions:
  • How are you feeling? Do you need anything?
  • Do you need groceries or toilet paper?
  • Are there any important errands you can't run yourself?
  • Do you want to FaceTime this week just to catch up?
  • How can I be praying for you right now?

Financial Support

Community Resources

Community Spreadsheet
Some locals who love our city have put together a master list of resources. Check it out here.

There are a variety of resources available at the LA Dream Center in Echo Park: https://www.dreamcenter.org/relief/
Food and Water
There are a total  of 60 "Grab and Go" Food Centers in our community. The centers will be open weekdays from 7 am to 10 am, and each child can take home two nutritious meals. Locations of the centers can be found at https://achieve.lausd.net/resources

Thrive also has a grocery ministry to support families in financial need. Contact [email protected] to receive food or help out.

There is no shortage of food in Los Angeles and grocery stores will continue to be stocked, as normal. In addition, LADWP tap water is 100-percent safe to drink. There is no threat to our public drinking water supply and no need for bottled water.

There is no need to “panic buy” and put unnecessary pressure on supermarkets. Our neighbors also have essential needs, and a rush in demand can cause unanticipated buying frenzies and unnecessary anxiety.

Employment
If you are out of work or unsafe at work, check the EDD website to get general guidance as to what programs are available and what rights might be applicable.
